Second Triangle: Strengthening Locational Factors
The second triangle is about locational factors, i.e. those features
which determine whether a given city or region qualifies as a favorable
setting for doing business. There are three types of locational factors:
- Tangible
locational factors, which are mostly "hard" criteria and
which can often be quantified
- Intangible
factors relevant for firms, which are "soft" factors and
not easily quantifiable
- Intangible
factors relevant for individuals/professionals, which are basically those
factors that define the quality of life in a given location
